We offer two methods of construction Classic or Heritage.
The Classic method uses the very best modern materials available. Coil sprung units are used in the seat platforms, and backs are also sprung to ensure longevity. Modern fillers and liners are used in conjunction with traditional cotton felt and hessian.
The Heritage method embraces the time honoured stuff and stitch method of upholstery. Furniture is handsprung in the traditional way, with double cone springs being hand tied onto an interwoven base of English webbing. The springs are individually sewn into a hessian top to form a sprung seat platform. Only natural coir fibre, bristle and cotton felt are used in this method of construction.
All pricing for new furniture is based on the classic method of construction. If you would like a price for any piece finished to the heritage method of construction please contact us.
